Dr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, the Honourable Minister for Information Technology & Digital Services Tamilnadu, is one such visionary who carries an ardent resolve to uplift and enrich women from economically and socially disadvantaged communities.
Carrying an empathetic understanding of the struggles and personal barriers faced by these women, he felt the need for a platform that will open new doors for them to take sure-footed steps towards entrepreneurial success and financial independence.

Vaan is the manifestation of PTR's dream of telling women from marginalized communities - "Embrace your skills, spread your wings & soar high, and let your dreams paint the sky! We will support and stand with you every step of the way." Acting as a catalyst for change since June 2022, Vaan empowers women from socially and economically backward sections, by providing them the opportunities, resources, and hands-on support, to grow and thrive at their own pace.
In addition to skill development, Team Vaan equips them with sustainable income generating capabilities. This eventually creates a butterfly effect, successfully breaking the cycle of poverty and inequality. Offering training programs, mentorship, and entrepreneurship opportunities, our work extends beyond economic empowerment for the women who deserve utmost support. We also nurture and support their personal growth, self-esteem, and mental health, with a holistic approach.
To create a world where women from marginalized communities not only enjoy equal opportunities, but also thrive with confidence, dignity, and financial independence.
